Menyediakan Semua yang Anda Butuhkan

Indonesia rarely feels like a single country, but on Flores you sense this more keenly. A few islands along the chain from Bali, it sits as the gateway to more remote adventures. You can sail to Komodo National Park, snorkel the protected waters of the 17 Islands Marine Park and climb the sacred peak of Mount Kelimutu. And, unusually, Catholicism is the dominant faith, with church spires punctuating Flores’s skyline between volcanic ranges and clusters of thatched-roof homes.

Like most places that have remained off radar, it takes time to get there, and you’ll need a healthy tolerance for long car journeys. But you’ll be rewarded with an otherworldly jungle landscape borne out of volcanism and a series of pristine surrounding islands that look like they only recently rose from the indigo waters.

How to get to
Flores Island?

The most comfortable way to get to Flores is by first flying to Bali. Once landed in Bali you can take a plane to Labuan Bajo. An airport to the northeast of the island will leave you in a part that is very close to Komodo. So perfect for the first activity on the list of things to do in Flores.

Kelimutu Tricolor Lake

The best time to visit this spectacular lake is between May and September, as it is the dry season in Indonesia. To start the journey we must access Konara, which is the closest town.

From here you can go by any type of transport to the parking lot at the base of Mount Kelimutu. It is recommended that you wait for the sun to fully illuminate the lake, in order to enjoy its colors.

Pantai Merah

You open your eyes, the light that bathes the horizon blinds your sight. All your senses are in feeling the sea breeze, enjoying the silence, refreshing your feet in the crystal clear water that you can see full of life. You begin to walk barefoot, you feel freedom, you are happy enjoying nature and your vacations. Suddenly you realize that the beach you are walking on has its pink sand and you are perplexed by such beauty.

The pink beach (English) or pantai merah (means red in Indonesian and that's what they call it here) is definitely one of the attractions that tourists are looking forward to stepping on when they visit Komodo National Park. The beach is located on the island of Komodo and is easily accessible by boat with one of the many tours that leave from Labuanbajo and transport you to the magical waters of the National Park.
