WHAT IS DIVING IN INDONESIA FAMOUS FOR?

Indonesia is known worldwide as a diver's paradise thanks to its crystal clear waters, gentle currents and very friendly to swimmers and divers. 
This place has a large aquatic habitat where you can find numerous fish of different colours and shapes as well as sunken ships from the Second World War. 
In addition to this, being a country with more than 17000 islands, you can dive in the most hidden corners of the earth where you will be surprised by the great variety of aquatic life.

Karimunjawa

This place is located in the northwest of Java. You can discover several marine species which are unique in the world. It is located in National Marine park with different spectacular beaches

Tulamben

The north of Bali is an incredible place to dive among sunken ships, known as wrecks. That place is characterized by sunken ships due to World War II. Without doubt is one of the most beatiful places to dive.  

Nusa Penida

This place is located on sthe southeast of Bali and it is one of the most famous because you can discover one of the rarest fish in the world, called Mola Mola fish. These huge fish can reach up to 3 metres in length . Furthermore, the water is spectacular where you can presence a huge sea creatures

Komodo

This place is famous for their National Park in which you can discover their Komodo dragons, however also it is a place teeming with marine life. Sometimes, it feels like you are diving in an aquarium 

Wakatobi

Like the dive site known as Magnifica where, after a deep slope, we find huge barracudas, schools of snappers, oriental sweetlips... Or the incredible dive at The Zoo where macro lovers will be delighted to see ghost pipefish, hairy lobsters or leaf fish.

Cape Bira

South of Sulawesi is this cape where you can dive for sharks, humphead wrasse and tuna. In fact, even the elusive hammerhead sharks can be found here. The strong currents in the area are rewarded by a great visibility of up to 50 metres. It is possible to see rays, including some venomous species!

Derawan

This is a unique place for turtle lovers, as this small island is home to thousands of these elegant animals. In fact, there is no need to dive, you can even see them from the beach.
