1. BOROBUDUR
Located on the island of Java, it is the largest Buddhist temple in the world. Built in the 8th century, it has been considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1991.
The structure is divided into three sections: base, center and top. The latter crowned by a giant stupa with another 72 that surround it. It is the most visited temple in Indonesia.

2. PRAMBANAN
This set of volcanic stone temples located in Java is also known as the Sanctuary of the Thousand Temples.
It is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia and the second largest in Southeast Asia after Angkor Wat.

3. PURA TANAH LOT
This beautiful Hindu temple is located on an islet 100 meters off the southwest coast of Bali. Its construction was dedicated to the guardian gods of the sea and it is one of the most beautiful places in Indonesia where you can enjoy the sunset.
The interior of the temple is inaccessible, but anyone who wishes can approach the sanctuary and be blessed by the priests.

4. PURA ULUN DANU BRATAN
The construction of this eleven-storey sanctuary on the shores of Lake Bratan dates back to the 17th century. It is the core of all the water temples in Bali, as its irrigation system draws water from Lake Batur to the Subak.
Being a UNESCO World Heritage Site of Indonesia, it is one of the symbols of religious and social unity in Bali.

5. PURA LUHUR ULUWATU
Its exceptional location on a 75-meter-high cliff makes it one of the most beautiful temples in Bali. Also known for being one of the funniest thanks to the monkeys fond of robbery that surround the temple.
